KADIMA is for students in grades 6-8.

KADIMA is an international youth organization sponsored by the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. It has thousands of members in the US and abroad.

Our KADIMA chapter is a combined chapter between Temple Israel, and Ohav Shalom bringing together students from the Temple Israel Hebrew School, the Hebrew Academy of the Capital District, and Jewish middle schoolers throughout the Capital District. We hold monthly events that generally alternate between Temple Israel, Ohav Shalom, and off-site locations.

Events during this past year have included hayrides, Games2U, Chocolate Seders, and much more. Judaic themes and activities are interwoven throughout our KADIMA programming.

Membership in KADIMA entitles students to participate in all KADIMA activities and receive Kol Kadima, a quarterly magazine that includes stories, games, articles about Jewish topics, and other activities of interest. Membership dues are $25.

To register for KADIMA, please contact Rachael Schertzer or call the Temple Israel front office at (518) 438-7858.
