I moved to Albany from downstate NY in 1995 to attend SUNY Albany where I majored in Spanish and Italian language, civilization and culture. I met my husband in my third year of college, and he soon began working for Albany Fire Department. Since then, I’ve worked in various customer service positions for insurance companies, marketing research and translation agencies. I love the opportunity to learn new things and meet new people (and I like to talk. A LOT). In addition to working at TI, I hold down a full-time job of “Momming” three teenagers – all of whom are active athletes, playing lacrosse, ice hockey and soccer!

Since I was 12 years old I have worked with children of all ages but quickly realized that early childhood education was my passion. There is something magical about being there when children start to talk and question and explore that makes early childhood education an exciting time in child development.
I come from a long line of educators- my grandparents started a day camp in New Canaan, Ct over 50 years ago that is now operated by my uncle and my cousin! My grandfather instilled in me early on that the most important thing one can offer is a strong sense of customer service; each child and family should have your attention at all times to ensure that they have the best experience possible. I vividly remember being at his camp and him receiving phone calls at 8:00 at night about lost towels and again as early as 6 AM about other lost items and each call was greeted with concern and follow through.
For me this has become my style as the director of our nursery school as well. I want each family to know that their child is well cared for and that their needs are met while they are at our school. It is important to me that I know each child and family personally so that we can work together as a team throughout their time as part of the Temple Israel family.
I received my undergraduate degree in Business Administration at The College of St Rose and then my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently back in school at The College of Saint Rose to receive my Special Education certification. I am the mom to 3 amazing boys who love being part of our Albany Jewish Community. We live in Delmar and my boys attend Bethlehem Middle School and High School
