During the Summer of 2024 Givah together with the Jewish Federation of NENY welcomed over 20 teens from our partnership region Eshkol as Bonim (Counselors in Training). This was a planned respite trip due to 10/7 but it ended up being a life changing experience for many.

Now we have decided to grow this initiative and create a Givah Gesher (bridge) Israeli Program. We are  thrilled to announce that this coming summer, we will welcome back five of the teens from last year to join us as Madrichim. In addition, later this summer, the Federation will once again bring a delegation of Bonim, who will hopefully continue to cycle through this program and ultimately be eligible to become staff as well.

There are many opportunities to assist  in our Gesher program from housing and creating a warm, welcoming environment to so much more! Givah 2025 runs from 6/30-8/22.

This just in our Olshein Givah Fund will be helping us by matching up to $15,000 to help these and future efforts connected to Israel! Help us reach our goal today.
